Case study — Branding & Responsive Website

Challenge — Authenticity

We were approached to create a responsive website for a new B2B platform that linked tattoo studios and artists. The website would allows tattoo studios and artists to post tattoo guestspots and give and receive peer-to-peer reviews in a safe, vetted members-only environment.

Following our UX research, it was clear that any successful brand within this market provided more than a service. The platform would need to be built on authenticity to reach the studios and artists on an emotional level.

Solution — Urban lifestyle brand

We designed a lifestyle brand that would be at the forefront of urban and street culture. We embedded elements from the UX research that were important to the artists and studios:

  • New name and visual identity,

  • UI that allowed each studio or artist to apply their own style to their portfolio page,

  • Structure and imagery that highlighted the brand culture, worldwide presence or local vibe of each studio,

  • Peer-to-peer reviews that would only be visible to logged-in members,

  • Quick search function that allowed artists to find guestspots all over the world

  • A deeper search uses filters to reveal studio perks and artists’ styles.
